If you’re looking for a Bali tour that combines rich culture, stunning natural beauty, and a touch of adventure, the Kintamani Ubud Tour is your perfect match. From exploring traditional villages to marveling at the magnificent Mount Batur, this tour offers something for every type of traveler. Whether you're a culture lover, nature enthusiast, or adrenaline seeker, the itinerary has a little bit of everything.
Exploring Celuk and Mas Village: Bali’s Artistic Heart
We kicked off the day with an 8:00 AM pick-up from the hotel, and our first stop was Celuk and Mas Village. These villages are famous for their traditional craftsmanship—Celuk specializes in silver and gold jewelry, while Mas is known for its intricate wood carvings. As we wandered through the workshops, I was amazed at the attention to detail and the skill that goes into each piece.
In Celuk Village, the artisans are more than happy to show you the jewelry-making process, and you can even purchase unique, handmade items. I picked up a delicate silver bracelet as a souvenir, and it felt special knowing that it was crafted by hand right there in the village.
Next, we visited Mas Village, where I was completely blown away by the wood carvings. From small statues to large, ornate pieces of furniture, the level of detail is mind-blowing. If you’re into traditional Balinese art, this is the place to be. Even if you’re not shopping, watching the artists at work is an experience in itself.
Kintamani Village: A Breathtaking View of Mount Batur
From the villages, we made our way to Kintamani Village, one of the highlights of the tour. The drive to Kintamani takes you through beautiful, lush landscapes, and when we finally arrived, I was greeted by a panoramic view of Mount Batur, an active volcano, and Lake Batur right beside it.
The view from Kintamani is something I’ll never forget. The mist hanging over the lake, the dark, volcanic landscape against the greenery—it’s one of those moments where you just stand still and soak it all in. We stopped at a local restaurant for lunch, and let me tell you, enjoying a meal while overlooking a volcano is something special. Most restaurants in Kintamani have outdoor seating with fantastic views, so definitely plan to spend some time here just taking in the scenery.
Bali Swing: Adventure with a View
After our relaxing stop at Kintamani, it was time for a little adrenaline rush at the famous Bali Swing. Now, you’ve probably seen this on Instagram—a huge swing suspended over a jungle valley, giving you the feeling of flying over the trees. I wasn’t sure if I’d be brave enough to try it, but once I saw the incredible views, I couldn’t resist.
Swinging out over the lush greenery with the wind in your hair is a thrill like no other. If you’re a bit nervous about heights, don’t worry—the guides are super helpful, and they make sure you’re securely fastened. It’s more exhilarating than scary, and you’ll be rewarded with some of the best views in Bali (and a killer photo op).
Tegalalang Rice Terrace: Bali’s Iconic Green Landscapes
Our next stop was the famous Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases Bali’s traditional subak irrigation system. The rice terraces stretch out in perfectly layered steps, and the sight of the vibrant green fields cascading down the hills is breathtaking.
Walking through the rice fields was an experience in itself. The fresh air, the tranquility, and the simple beauty of the terraces made me appreciate Bali’s agricultural heritage even more. There are also plenty of spots where you can stop and take photos, but I recommend slowing down and just enjoying the moment. It’s easy to see why this spot is one of Bali’s most iconic landmarks.
Tegenungan Waterfall: Nature’s Beauty at Its Best
The final adventure of the day was a visit to Tegenungan Waterfall, one of Bali’s most popular waterfalls. As we walked down the path towards the waterfall, I could hear the roar of the water long before we saw it. When we arrived, the sight of the water crashing down into the pool below was absolutely mesmerizing.
One of the best things about Tegenungan is that it’s easily accessible, but it still feels like a hidden gem. You can swim in the pool at the base of the waterfall, or if you prefer, just take in the view from one of the nearby cafés. I opted to wade into the cool water—it was the perfect way to cool off after a long day of exploring. If you’re a fan of nature, Tegenungan is a must-visit.
Wrapping Up the Day
After a full day of exploring, we made our way back to the hotel. As I reflected on the day, I realized just how much we had seen and experienced. The Kintamani Ubud Tour is the perfect mix of culture, adventure, and natural beauty, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the day in Bali.
From the artistic wonders of Celuk and Mas Village to the awe-inspiring views of Mount Batur and the exhilarating heights of the Bali Swing, every stop on the itinerary offered something unique. If you’re visiting Bali and want to experience a little bit of everything the island has to offer, this tour is a fantastic option.
So, whether you’re a first-time visitor to Bali or you’ve been here before and want to explore more, the Kintamani Ubud Tour is an unforgettable way to dive deeper into the island’s culture and natural beauty. Trust me, it’s a day you won’t soon forget!
